Rafal Grabarkiewicz is a co-founder and Managing Partner at Fidelium. He has over 15 years’ experience in Fidelium’s core areas of investment.
Prior to co-founding Fidelium, Rafal spent seven years as Managing Director at Aurelius Equity Opportunities SE & Co KGaA. There, he was responsible for a wide range of spin-off investments, helping non-core businesses of major international companies to become independent SMEs. These transactions were typically cross-border and highly complex, requiring careful implementation of vendor-specific requirements. In addition, Rafal was responsible for a number of investments in special situations and succession scenarios in the SME arena.
Before joining Aurelius, Rafal worked as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley in Frankfurt, where he was involved in numerous M&A transactions and corporate finance. Rafal began his career in management consultancy, assisting management teams at major European corporations with the implementation of restructuring and growth projects.
Rafal studied in Giessen, Aberdeen, Cape Town, Fontainebleau, Singapore, and Philadelphia and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
